FruitCREWS is pleased to announce its final Training School, “Bridging the Soil–Plant–Atmosphere Continuum: Ecophysiology, Sensors and Decision Support Systems (DSS)”, which will take place 7–9 September 2026 at the Department of Soil, Plant and Food Sciences, University of Bari “Aldo Moro”, Italy.
Organised by Prof. Pasquale Losciale, leader of FruitCREWS Working Group 1, the three-day programme will provide participants with both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in understanding water relations in fruit trees, proximal sensing technologies and the application of Decision Support Systems for irrigation management.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore topics including:
- Leaf functionality and physiological monitoring;
- Hydraulic traits and agricultural water management;
- Fruit growth and vascular fluxes;
- Monitoring soil water content using sensors;
- Decision Support Systems for irrigation scheduling.
The Training School is open to researchers and professionals interested in sustainable irrigation, plant ecophysiology and digital tools for agriculture.
