E-seminar: 5th episode

The FruitCREWS COST Action continues its 2025/2026 E-Seminar Series with the fifth online session, which will take place on 12 February at 15:30 CET. This session will focus on modelling approaches related to plant–water relations and fruit growth under water deficit conditions.

The e-seminar will be chaired by Rafael Dreux Miranda Fernandes and will feature two scientific presentations addressing data requirements, calibration challenges, and future perspectives of crop and irrigation modelling. Each presentation will last 20–30 minutes, followed by a joint Q&A session.

Programme

Sarah Verbeke
Modelling plant–water dynamics for irrigation: Data requirements, application potential and calibration challenges

Dario Constantinescu
Modeling fruit growth and dry matter composition response to water deficit in crop models: Current approaches and future perspectives

The session will be held online via Microsoft Teams.

About the FruitCREWS E-Seminar Series

The FruitCREWS E-Seminar Series provides a platform for knowledge exchange and scientific discussion among researchers working on water-efficient fruit crop production. By bringing together experts from across Europe and beyond, the series fosters dialogue on plant–water relations, modelling approaches, and adaptation strategies for fruit production systems under climate change.

We look forward to your participation in the fifth episode of the series!
