Within the FruitCREWS COST Action, three e-seminars will be organized to showcase the latest research results in the realm of plant sciences.
The first e-seminar, titled Irrigation of tropical and subtropical crops is scheduled for April 19th, 2024 at 15 CET, with two distinguished speakers. Juan Losada will elaborate on the topic “Subtropical fruit trees in the context of climate change”. Additionally, Omar García will introduce “Irrigation scheduling on banana crops”. The second e-seminar is scheduled for May 9th, 2024 at 15 CET. The topic of this seminar is Water quality and nutrition of horticultural crops. Our esteemed speakers for this session include Francisco Pedrero, presenting on “Water quality in agriculture: risk and risk mitigation”, and Miguel Angel Rosales who will discuss “Developmental and hydraulic responses to water deficit and Chloride nutrition in plants”. In June, you can expect the third e-seminar titled New technologies for irrigation management, chaired by Raquel Martinez. In this season Jaume Casadesús will present on “IrriDesk: irrigation DSS powered by digital twins” and Pieter Janssens will speak about “Soil moisture prediction in fruit orchards”.
