On May 10, 2024, Brunella Morandi, the Chair of the FruitCREWS COST Action, participated in the Macfrut fair held in Rimini, Italy. She, along with Andrea Giovannini, both from the University of Bologna, presented the objectives of the FruitCREWS project to an attentive audience. Macfrut is one of the leading events in the fruit and vegetable sector, attracting a diverse audience that includes the general public, technicians, and scientists.
At this event, Morandi and Giovannini highlighted the valuable insights obtained from the Working Group 1 (WG1) surveys, which are instrumental in guiding the project’s future endeavors. The session provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the work being done under WG1, focusing on sustainability and innovation in fruit production.
The presentation drew an engaged audience of around 15-20 people. This group comprised a mix of general public members, technical experts, and scientists. The interaction with the audience underscored the growing awareness and relevance of FruitCREWS among key stakeholders in the industry.
